National team striker Jørgen Strand Larsen (25) has signed a four-year contract with Wolverhampton, confirming his impressive development from Sarpsborg 08 to Premier League star. The Norwegian striker, who is now valued at €30 million, became an instant success in England with 14 goals in his debut season – a club record for newcomers.
From the OBOS league to the Premier League
Strand Larsen’s career has had a remarkable development:
- Started professional career in Sarpsborg 08 (2018-2020)
- Made a name for himself in Dutch Groningen (2020-2022)
- Played for Spanish Celta Vigo (2022-2023)
- Loan stay at Wolverhampton (2023-2024) which now becomes permanent
“When I came from Sarpsborg to Groningen, it took time to adjust. Same in Spain. But this time in England, everything felt right from day one,” says Strand Larsen.

With his 14 goals in the 2024/25 Premier League season:
