Both were heavily involved in the Serie A title, but of course the comparison stops there. The Scot knows he can never match the icon on and off the pitch, but the former Manchester United player knows how best to pay tribute to the late champion.

“It was a special night for Naples and for the Neapolitans. Maradona represents something that is difficult to explain if you are not from Naples. We wanted to honour this day, which is sad, considering it’s the fifth anniversary of his death, but it was a fantastic energy,” Conte said after the game with the first goal from Scott McTominay.
