Raphael Varane was done at Manchester United last summer. The Frenchman opted out of Saudi Arabian money bins and instead headed to scenic Lake Como. Cesc Fabregas called up the French legend to serve newly promoted Como in Serie A. Varane signed, but it didn’t take many months before a new injury forced the decision to retire. Varane chose to stay on as an ambassador for the club, now he has been given an important assignment from Fabregas, who sends Varane back to Manchester.
Marcus Rashford is well on his way away from Old Trafford in January, probably heading towards a loan spell in the first half. Several clubs have of course expressed their interest, but are demanding that Manchester United bear the lion’s share of the massive weekly wage of £325,000.
It is transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who reports Cesc Fabregas and Serie A club Como have expressed their interest in signing Rashford on loan.
The Italian transfer journalist claims that the financial aspect of Rashford’s loan does not pose a problem for Como, now there is a bet that Raphael Varane can persuade Rashford to choose the bottom battle in Serie A under Cesc Fabregas’ leadership to find his way back to playing joy and top form.
