According to rumors, a new Nike Air Max Plus collaboration between Mbappé and Nike could arrive in early 2026. This will be just the latest in a long line of collaborations between the brand and the star player. The two made their first boot deal back in 2018, when Mbappé was just 18 years old, with the launch of the Nike Hypervenom 3 – a slightly more special way to celebrate coming of age than most teenagers do.
What can we expect?
There is currently little that is known about what to expect, but the two have previously worked together on the Nike Mercurial TN, in addition to the Hypervenom model. This collaboration combined the iconic Air Max Plus design with a traditional football boot – resulting in a unique shoe with a larger SWOOSH logo, but with an upper that looked more like coaches, and boots on the underside instead of the classic Air Max sole.
When will the boots arrive?
The collaboration is expected to launch in the spring of 2026, well before SNKRS Day in August, when many exciting shoes are usually released. Perhaps fans will see Mbappé lift the World Cup trophy again with these boots on his feet – a tribute to the classic silhouette often associated with French street culture. But let’s hope that doesn’t happen – England for the win!

What will the shoes look like?
Although there are no official images yet, we can guess that they will follow the well-known Nike TN style, as shown in the image above. It shouldn’t be long before we learn more – maybe even get a glimpse of the color variants.
Expect the release to be limited, so be prepared when it finally arrives. It will be interesting to see if Nike stick to the usual price of £175 – or if they charge more, if it turns out to be a limited-edition special edition.
Mbappé’s path to the top
Mbappé became a global star almost a decade ago, breaking through from Monaco’s academy before a record-breaking move to PSG. Since then, he has won several titles with both PSG and France, including World Cup gold, although he narrowly had to see himself beaten by a Messi-inspired Argentina in the attempt to take their second championship. Now he plays for Real Madrid after a free transfer, and continues to impress both on the pitch and on the pitch as he develops as a player.
Join the adventure – this will be a shoe worth keeping an eye on!
