The 92-year-old film legend Kim Novak will be awarded the prestigious honorary Golden Lion during the Venice Film Festival in September. The award is in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the art of cinema through a career spanning decades.

Novak’s role as the mysterious woman in Vertigo is considered one of the most iconic in film history, and in 2012 the film was named the best film of all time by Sight & Sound critics. Although she retired from acting in the 1990s, her film legacy lives on for new generations of film enthusiasts.
