The vast majority of musicians don’t make money on Spotify, but Barcelona does, at times. Camp Nou arena is already called Spotify Camp Nou arena and now the agreement has been extended.
Barcelona has entered into a new and significant agreement with the Swedish streaming service Spotify. According to the Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the deal is worth over 460 million euros, which is equivalent to more than 5.5 billion Norwegian kroner.

At the same time, the naming rights to the home arena, which will be called Spotify Camp Nou, will be extended until 2034.
The agreement builds on an existing collaboration
The collaboration between the two partners started as early as March 2022, when Barcelona announced that the Swedish music and podcast service became the club’s new main partner. As part of the agreement, the home arena Camp Nou was also given the official name Spotify Camp Nou – for the first time ever that the arena was renamed.
The new agreement, which lasts until 2030, secures Spotify space on both the men’s and women’s teams’ shirts and training equipment.
Spotify is a Swedish streaming service for music, audiobooks and podcasts that was founded in 2006. The service has revolutionized the way people listen to music and is today one of the world’s largest players in audio streaming, with hundreds of millions of users across the globe. Through the agreement with Barcelona, the company wants to further strengthen its global brand awareness. Along with streaming has taken over, the record store is gone, as are the earnings for artists. Many people also choose to stay away from the platform because of this.
Back to the iconic arena
Spotify Camp Nou has been undergoing extensive renovation in recent months, which has led to Barcelona not playing matches on their home ground for a long time. However, the club is getting closer to a return to the arena, as the redevelopment project is now in its final phase.
