Davies was one of the central figures and creative forces in Supertramp since he founded the band with Roger Hodgson in 1970. Throughout his career, he was not only a vocalist, but also a keyboardist and one of the band’s main songwriters.

Among Davies’ most iconic compositions are the classics “Goodbye Stranger” and “Bloody Well Right” from the band’s breakthrough albums “Crime of the Century” (1974) and “Breakfast in America” (1979). The latter album sold to diamond status and topped charts worldwide.

Supertramp’s career spanned three decades with 11 studio albums, several of which are considered milestones in progressive rock and pop. The band was known for its distinctive blend of progressive rock, pop, and jazz, with complex arrangements and heartfelt lyrics.

After Hodgson left the band in 1983, Davies continued as frontman and led Supertramp through several successful tours and album releases, including “Some Things Never Change” (1997) and “Slow Motion” (2002).

Davies’ contribution to rock history leaves a lasting legacy. Supertramp has sold over 60 million albums worldwide, and their music continues to reverberate on radios and streaming services around the world.
