You should have small feet

LEGO loves collaboration. Nike does it too. But a LEGO x Nike collaboration? It has happened, and the duo has now unveiled their first real product.

LEGO has announced the LEGO x Nike Air Max Dn, a cute and highly collectible edition of a less modern shoe classic.

“We’re partnering with our friends at Nike to inspire a world where sport and creative play always win,” says LEGO.

The bad news? These pretty cool shoes will only be available in children’s sizes.

With a bit of luck, Nike may be open to offering them to older – or at least bigger-footed – LEGO builders. We can imagine that many of them will have a couple of these.

LEGO embossed details
The uppers on the LEGO x Nike Air Max Dn feature the classic LEGO brick dot texture in rubber. A LEGO logo also adorns the tongue bib, with a red LEGO panel creating a stark contrast to the shoe’s “Tour Yellow” colour.

We find even more LEGO inspiration in the air cushions in the sole, with a small LEGO minifig head and a new LEGO logo. On the other side, we find a “Dn Air” logo and a four-eyed alien figure we don’t recognize.

But if you go back to LEGO’s website about the collaboration, you’ll see a spaceship in the teaser video – suggesting that this isn’t the last time we’ll meet him/her/it.

More than just shoes
: This LEGO x Nike collaboration isn’t limited to these shoes. It’s a multi-year deal that could eventually include sports-related LEGO sets and more. A short teaser suggests that the goal is to blend Nikke’s sports appeal with the creative and imaginative universe of LEGO.

The collaboration was announced all the way back in August 2024, but it has taken a long time before the first concrete results are showcased. And when the shoes finally launch, it will have been a full year – the LEGO x Nike Air Max Dn is expected to arrive in August 2025 at a price of around $160.

LEGO and Adidas collaboration
LEGO previously partnered with Adidas in 2020 as part of a “multi-year” deal (sound familiar?). It resulted in, among other things, LEGO-themed Adidas shoes and a 731-piece LEGO set of the iconic Adidas Originals Superstar.
