Liverpool supporters are entering a week of optimism ahead of their season opener against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. It is going towards reinforcements/is on the wing from PSG, this weekend two new signings showed they have everything to do in a strong Liverpool defence.

Andoni Iraola knew players and supporters needed a game against Como on Sunday that gave a completely different picture of Liverpool’s defensive play before the start of the season. This came, where two newcomers show the supporters that something very exciting is going on in Reds‘ defensive line.
It ended with a 2-0 win against Como, because Iraola was victory and zero backwards what they now really needed.
“We needed a bit of this feeling of winning the game and keeping a clean sheet. The first half was still better than the second, but we found a way to win the game. We needed this feeling before we start (the season),” the Liverpool coach said after the game.
In defence, two new Liverpool players stood and showed why they have been brought to Anfield.
Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo both delivered a strong half alongside Virgil van Dijk, and impressed Liverpool supporters.
“Jeremy (Jacquet) played very well tonight and so did (Ronald) Araujo,” Iraola boasts.
Jeremie Frimpong, who has received some criticism, was also praised by the coach.
-I would also like to mention Jeremie Frimpong, who had a very good game, says Iraola.
Jacquet and Araujo come in and deliver from the start, plus a Frimpong who seems to have “woken up”. This was what Liverpool supporters liked!
