Real Madrid have realised that they need to bring in a reliable goalscorer. The decision is a direct consequence of José Mourinho’s wish – the Portuguese himself has pointed to Harry Kane as the central piece of his system.

Mourinho knows Kane well from his time at Tottenham and sees him as the ideal partner to lift Vinícius and Mbappé to an even higher level. Kane currently plays for Bayern Munich, where his hair-raising stats (58 goals and 7 assists this season) make him the continent’s top goalscorer.
The Madrid management is planning an offensive of around 80 million euros. The club hopes the good relationship between Mourinho and Kane will be decisive. Bayern are reluctant to sell, unless the player himself puts pressure on the club. Florentino Pérez has previously followed Kane, but chose to abstain for strategic reasons. Now Real Madrid are reviving interest – because of the insistence of Mourinho.
Alonso wants Mbappé to Chelsea: “€150 million on the table”
While Real Madrid are chasing Kane, Chelsea are trying to hijack Kylian Mbappé. Xabi Alonso has informed Chelsea management that he wants the French star in his squad. The Basque arrives in London with one clear message: He will lead a deep remake of the club.
Mbappé has a strained relationship with large parts of the Madrid squad and carries a deep disappointment after Alonso was sacked. During the coach’s short spell in Madrid, however, the 27-year-old’s performances took to a new level.
Chelsea are planning an initial bid of around €150 million, complemented by an extreme wage package. The club envisions a dream attack where Mbappé lifts Cole Palmer, Estevão and Joao Pedro to new heights. Chelsea have already established contact with the player’s mother Fayza Lamari to show their interest.
