…. and Sir Jim Ratcliffe
David Beckham’s legend status at Manchester United is still very much alive and now that he has become rich from owning Inter Miami, among other things, he is able, with friends who also have large cheque books, to buy Manchester United if the price is realistic.
Paul Scholes, who also has a long football life at Old Trafford, wants David Beckham to take over Manchester United: Given the situation, anything is better than the Glazer Family: “I would be open to anyone

Paul Scholes supports his old Manchester United teammate David Beckham in his desire to take over the club and get rid of both the Glazer family and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Glazer family still owns a majority stake in United, but currently has a relatively reclusive role around the club. British businessman Ratcliffe has controlled football operations at Old Trafford since he bought a 27.7 percent stake at the start of 2024.
Supporters initially supported Ratcliffe’s arrival, as he himself is a United supporter. But over the past two years, he has alienated himself through a series of major mistakes.
Last week, a report claimed that there is outside interest from potential buyers of the club. However, Scholes believes that club legend Beckham – who already owns MLS club Inter Miami – could be the right man for the job.
“I don’t see why not”

Scholes replied:
Butt thinks Beckham faces an obstacle
However, co-host Nicky Butt suspects that Beckham could face a major problem if he were to push to buy the club he spent over a decade in.
Butt stated:
