There is no team in Norway, possibly in Europe, that works better as a team than Bodø/Glimt. “Normally” good football players deliver abnormally well. – In addition, they build the club through generations. Bodø/Glimt crushed Kristiansund 7-1 in the last game before the Champions League starts next week.
On Wednesday, the Champions League debut awaits the club. They open away against Czech Slavia Prague.
“It’s too nice, there’s timing in everything they do. It is forward-looking, direct and lots of end product. It’s almost impossible to defend against when they attack with so much speed and timing,” said TV 2 commentator Endre Olav Osnes when the 5-0 score for the hosts was a fact.
For those who thought that Glimt would show signs of weakness after the international break, have to think again.
Against Kristiansund on Friday night, they served up with beautiful counterattacks, combinations and an impressive efficiency that made it 3-0 at halftime.

A few more beautiful attacks with merciless finishes and a fierce free kick in the second half ensured that it was an incredible 7-1 when the referee blew the whistle for full-time at Aspmyra on Friday night.
Kjetil Knutsen’s men are thus still in magnificent shape. It is the team’s 11th straight league game without a loss.
But now even tougher opposition awaits.

It is already clear that Erling Braut Haaland and Manchester City will go to Aspmyra, but before that, the yellow will face Slavia Prague in their Champions League debut in the Czech Republic next Wednesday.
“It’s just to look forward to it, it will be our biggest night ever. It will be fantastic. We have to prepare well, because it will be absolutely awesome,” says Jens Petter Hauge to TV 2 after the game.
He had a strong game.
Hauge was involved in most things before he was substituted, got a penalty, scored and recorded an assist.
When asked what to expect from Glimt in the Champions League, he answers this way to TV 2
: “We will do exactly the same. Play our type of football, show that we have something to do at that level. Maybe it’s sitting from round one, maybe later, but we’re going to play our kind of football,” he repeats.
It was Håkon Evjen, Odin Bjørtuft and Jens Petter Hauge who made sure that the home team went into the locker room with a comfortable lead.
And all the goals were the result of beautiful, playful attacking play that was characterized by tremendous speed, intensity and precision.
It also seems that Bodø/Glimt have the next generation in place.
It is part of the story that Kristiansund was dangerous going forward, but coach Amund Skiri saw from the bench that the team hit the crossbar twice and that Mustapha Isah was close both once and twice.
After the break, however, things did not get better for the visitors.
With the same recipe, Glimt continued to grind Kristiansund to pieces.
Mathias Jørgensen and Sondre Fet both finished off high-level attacks – before Patrick Berg hammered in 6-0 on a free kick from 16.5 meters.
“It’s merciless,” said TV 2 commentator Osnes after Berg’s shot went straight into the crossbar.
After Berg’s goal, Kristiansund managed to embellish the result a bit, but just minutes later – shortly before the end – Mikkel Bro Hansen set the final score at 7–1 from the penalty spot.
