Bayern Munich also in the race for Nusa: “Was interested in the summer”

Six goals and seven assists in the first 14 games of the season have made Antonio Nusa one of the Bundesliga’s biggest profiles. Now comes a surprising message from Germany: Bayern Munich were also interested in the Norwegian this summer.

Nusa’s star is bigger now!! MUCH BIGGER and RB Leipzig, who really don’t want to sell, will get 60 million euros in a sale, the three-time they themselves paid Club Brugge two years ago. – This even though Transfermarkt believes the value is around 45 million euros.

As former Norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Lokberg said to NRK’s Backroom podcast: “The player fits his style of play, and the club has a real need. In practice, they only have Tzolis and a slightly half-hearted Eberechi Eze as options on the left wing. I think Arsenal sit around every day and consider whether they should pull the trigger.”

Antonio Nusa has really made his mark in Germany. The 21-year-old has six goals and seven assists in his first 14 games this season and continues to make his mark in the Champions League. After the 2-3 loss to Manchester City, City manager Enzo Maresca pointed to Nusa as the player who caused real trouble for one of the world’s best defences.

The fact that Premier League clubs follow Nusa is not new. Several English clubs, with Arsenal in pole position, had him on the block in the summer transfer window. But what was not known is that one of the world’s biggest clubs also invited the 21-year-old into the heat.

“An exclusive piece of information”

Christian Falk of German Bild has captured what happened in the hectic weeks after the World Cup finals. In the Bayern Insider podcast, Falk says that Bayern Munich were also interested in signing Nusa this summer – and that sporting director Max Eberl is a big fan of the Norwegian international.

“This is exclusive information. We didn’t get it this summer, but I’ve had it confirmed now,” the German journalist begins.

“When it came to Nusa, Bayern were interested, but he didn’t envisage being a reserve either. And I think his decision – which I think was the right sporting thing – allows him to show what he can do. He is doing that at the moment, and thus he naturally also makes himself interesting for top clubs,” says Falk.

The dream trio

Bayern Munich opened the door for Antonio Nusa this summer. Imagine the trio of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Nusa…

With Nusa’s current form and Bayern’s known interest, there is little doubt that the Norwegian has placed himself firmly on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs. The question is no longer if, but when, he will take the next step.

Antonio Nusa can pick and choose, in addition to the world’s best and second best club, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Juventus and Como are also interested.
