Manchester United have had a striker crisis for several years. Very well-paid strikers are in the squad, but without delivering the necessary 20-30 goals every season. United need a striker who can deliver in the Premier League, Nkunku’s combination of longer injury breaks and 38 Premier League games with 6 goals since 2023, is anything but the attacking player Amorim now needs.
Chelsea are now lowering the threshold for signing Nkunku, a move that seems tailor-made to get Man United management back. The English media claims the London club will go down from £65 million to £43 million.
