The mourning period is over and the much-talked about comeback has finally been confirmed. The prog rock giant Rush is going on a big North American tour in 2026, for the first time since the band broke up in 2018.

This will be a historic chapter for the band. The tour marks the first time frontmen Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will perform together after their famous drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart, tragically lost his life to cancer in 2020.

New drummer with great merit

To fill the void left by Peart, Lee and Lifeson have found an extraordinary successor. They have hired the renowned German drummer Anika Nilles (42). She is not an unknown size to the band; her talent was discovered when she played with guitar legend Jeff Beck on his last European tour in 2022.

A celebration of a legendary legacy

The trio – now in a new form – describes the upcoming tour as a “celebration of over 50 years of Rush music.” This promises a setlist filled to the brim with everlasting classics from a career that has defined progressive rock.
