There are many things that make London’s housing market seem absurd. For example, that it is totally insurmountable for most people. Or that it is impossible to find a bathroom without mold, an apartment with a living room, or the smallest patch of garden without paying over NOK 26,000 a month. And forget about living alone – who do you think you are? A Rockefeller? London was named one of the five most expensive cities in the world to live in (surprise…).

But something that makes it all seem even more absurd? A £10.7 million penthouse designed by none other than Donatella Versace herself.

That’s right – through the real estate agency Chesterton’s, a five-bedroom, two-story penthouse with interiors exclusively designed by Versace Home is now up for sale. Located between Battersea and Vauxhall, it is the only residential development in London to be completely designed by the high-end fashion brand.

The penthouse is located on the 50th floor (yes, there are a lot of stairs) in the DAMAC Tower in Nine Elms. According to the ad, Donatella’s “unique signature is everywhere, from the mosaic walls of the spa inspired by the Versace icon, to the intricate Greek patterns on the bedroom doors”.

Luxury amenities in abundance

The design is, er, powerful, with stunning views of the city, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a range of modern amenities.

It has:

  • swimming pool
  • A state-of-the-art gym
  • Cinema
  • Two children’s playrooms with real slides (the dream)
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Five bedrooms and five bathrooms
  • Two car lifts (presumably for the latest Land Rover – or the “Chelsea funnel” as they are called)
  • Round-the-clock concierge service (as one would almost expect in such an exclusive building)

In addition, you will have access to the building’s communal garden, lounge, spa and steam room.

For the discerning buyer

So if you’ve got £10.7 million to save and have been looking for a home with two playrooms for the kids – you’re really in luck.
