It is unclear whether Arsenal will make a concrete move for a new striker in January, as they usually do most of their business in the summer. However, they are on the hunt for a striker.
According to reports, Arsenal’s interest in signing Kroupi from Bournemouth is “very real”, while they are considering striker options towards 2027.
Kroupi is currently watching the game from the sidelines after he suffered an injury during pre-season – putting an end to any transfer rumours this summer.
It won’t be easy for Arsenal to convince Bournemouth to sell a player of Kroupi’s calibre, especially if they plan to strike mid-season.
Kroupi could be a smarter choice than Álvarez
There is certainly an argument that Kroupi could be a better long-term option than Álvarez for Arsenal.
The young Bournemouth player, described as a “world-class” talent by teammate Marcus Tavernier, has already shown incredible ability at such a young age. There is no doubt that he has a great future in the Premier League.
Álvarez should be at his best now, and while he is a fantastic striker, Kroupi can surpass him in terms of potential.
Signing Kroupi could be a smarter option than Álvarez for the Gunners – especially if both are going to cost about the same amount of money.
