Both Viking and Bodø/Glimt fought their way on in the Champions League just over a week ago and the two clubs are also fighting for Eliteserien gold here at home in Norway.
It says a lot about Norwegian football that both clubs, who are in a historic race here at home, support each other in the Champions League because it is positive for football.

Erik Botheim was not the only one that the Stavanger club reinforced with on the last day of the summer window, the Dutch defender Essiën Bassey and Henrik Bjørdal were brought in from Vålerenga.
Three signings on Deadline Day, but the one who got the most attention, naturally enough, was Erik Botheim, who TV 2 and NRK discovered when he landed in Stavanger.

Botheim has ten goals for Malmö in Allsvenskan this season, and was in his third season at the Swedish club. He wreaked havoc for Bodø/Glimt before being sold to Russian Krasnodar in 2022 for over 60 million kroner.
