The 30-year-old midfielder comes to AaFK after a stay in Scottish Heart of Midlothian, and will now be part of the team that will fight for important points throughout the autumn.

– Sander is an experienced midfielder with almost 100 games in the Eliteserien. He is a smart player with a very good left foot. He will give us both experience and goal points. When he became available, we were very clear that this was a player who would fit into AaFK – both on and off the field, says sports director Oddbjørn Lie.

From Stjørdal to Scotland

Kartum has over several seasons distinguished himself at a high level in Norwegian football. After his breakthrough in Stjørdals-Blink, the road went on to Kristiansund, before Brann brought him to Bergen in the summer of 2023.

In Bergen, he helped fight at the top of the Eliteserien and gained valuable experience from European Cup games. His performances took him on to Scottish football and Hearts in January 2025.

Now he returns to Norway – and is ready to contribute for AaFK. The midfielder has signed a contract until the end of the year.

“I’m really looking forward to it”

“I’m looking forward to it! It seems like a very exciting group, and I have great faith that we can kick off well in the autumn season,” says Kartum himself.
