The World Cup was a huge success and memory for life for the Norwegian national team – and all of us who celebrated throughout the summer. For David Møller Wolfe, however, everyday life came quickly, after returning to Wolverhampton and more time on the bench. Now work is being done in Germany to secure a Norwegian World Cup “hero”.
On the same day that Viking’s Edvin Austbø leaves for England, David Møller Wolfe is on his way away from the ball island.
For the coach of one of the world’s eight best football nations (!), Ståle Solbakken, Møller Wolfe is the first choice at left-back. During the World Cup, he started five out of six games. Last summer, the former Brann player signed with Wolverhampton, but here there was surprisingly little playing time last season, only 1300 minutes throughout the season.
After the relegation to the Championship, it started with 79 minutes against Blackburn, then 5 against Preston, before the bench against Stoke City. According to Hamburger Abendblatt and Verdens Gang , Hamburger SV has expressed their interest in the Norwegian international.
HSV saved survival in the Bundesliga last season, and can offer Møller Wolfe plenty of playing time at the top level.
