‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals When Jason Sudeikis Will Return To Richmond

Jason Sudeikis is known as the creator and star of “Ted Lasso”, but he also has a long and varied career behind him. He was a regular on “Saturday Night Live” between 2003 and 2013, where he created iconic characters as the sharp commentator on “Weekend Update.” He has had major roles in films such as “We’re the Millers”, “Horrible Bosses” and the political satire “Downhill”. In the world of television, in addition to “Ted Lasso”, he has made a name for himself in series such as “30 Rock” and “The Cleveland Show”. For his role as the eternally optimistic football coach Ted Lasso, he has won both the Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award.

“Ted Lasso” is set to make a comeback this summer, Apple TV+ has confirmed.

Season 4 of the football-themed series, starring Jason Sudeikis as a football coach from Kansas who moves to the UK, premieres on August 5. New episodes will then be released weekly until October 7. Sudeikis is also executive producer for the series.

Along with Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift return. They will be joined by new actors such as Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.

Ted Lasso coaches women’s team in the 2nd division

Season 4 is about Ted returning to Richmond – this time to coach a women’s team in the 2nd division. In a recent trailer, we see Sudeikis trying to train his young promising talents, while in another scene, he is verbally stabbed down for “training a bunch of girls – you jerk!”

“Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to jump before they look, and take chances they never thought they would take,” promises the series’ official synopsis.

Star team behind the camera

Jack Burditt, who recently signed an executive deal with Apple TV+, joins Season 4 as executive producer — along with Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel.

Brett Goldstein, who plays soccer star Roy Kent in the series, also serves as a screenwriter and executive producer alongside Leann Bowen, Sarah Walker, and Phoebe Walsh. Sasha Garron is a co-producer.

Julia Lindon will write for season 4, while Dylan Marron is the story editor. Bill Lawrence is executive producer via Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television (a division of NBCUniversal). Doozers Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also serve as executive producers.
